The quality of PDIU’s activities is promoted with academic culture, defined guidelines, capable support services, and structured quality management. A crucial part of the quality work is maintaining a common knowledge base. The targets of quality work include the university’s basic missions – research, education, societal interaction – and the services and functions supporting them. The quality system is directed at different organisational levels. It includes institution-level and unit- or function-specific elements. The competent, committed, and continuing activities of every member of the community are at the core of quality work.
PDIU creates the conditions for high-quality activities by retaining and developing a strong academic culture and organising efficient professional services to support its basic missions. Additionally, the quality system includes ongoing oversight and quality management that encompasses all operations.
The goals of PDIU’s quality work are:
The entire community participates in the continuous development of operational quality. The Rector of the university is responsible for quality work at the institutional level, while unit management is responsible for quality work within their respective units.
Functions of quality management include promoting good practices within the university, focused instruction, well-functioning feedback systems, various evaluations and accreditations, essential targeted quality systems, security management, and internal auditing.
