The Integrated Master’s Degree by Research in Natural Medicine and Herbal Studies (M.Sc) is a four-year programme offered under the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, in collaboration with El-Roy London University. It combines advanced academic study with independent research in herbal medicine, complementary therapies, and integrative healing systems. Students will explore the scientific foundations of plant-based medicine and traditional healing practices, alongside contemporary approaches to holistic health, while developing critical skills in research design, analysis, and evidence-based evaluation.
The programme blends taught components with substantial research training, providing students with the knowledge and practical expertise needed to assess and advance alternative medicine within clinical, cultural, and scientific contexts. Graduates will be well-prepared for careers in academia, clinical and healthcare practice, the natural products industry, or to progress into doctoral-level research.
Course Objectives:
