The Institute provides graduate and postgraduate medical education. In assembling an international faculty, a team of established local academics has invited international authorities, as well as prominent expatriate Maltese lecturers in all medical disciplines, to collaborate.
The academic content includes formal didactic courses, skills courses, workshops, seminars, conferences, and masterclasses. Additionally, the department hosts a virtual academy to support online training.
We offer a growing cluster of medical knowledge facilities across multidisciplinary medical, dental, pharmaceutical, and paramedical fields, addressing the needs of allied professional groups. The services provided by the faculty are not limited to local graduates but extend to countries across the Mediterranean basin, Europe, Africa, the Middle and Far East, and Asia.
The department is committed to promoting medical education in support of improved public health programmes, providing reliable, evidence-based information to aid effective clinical decision-making, and fostering useful debate and interaction among professionals. We are dedicated to bridging the divide between countries with access to the best healthcare education and those deprived of updated medical information, as well as disseminating medical knowledge among healthcare providers using the latest information and communication technology. Our goal is to provide health technology information that prepares students and professionals for the requirements of an increasingly IT-based clinical practice.
