The Hospital Emergency Care (HEC) Certificate for Nurses and EMS Personnel is delivered by Pro Deo International University through the Faculty of Medical Emergency Education. This intensive professional programme is designed to enhance the clinical competence of nursing staff and emergency medical personnel involved in the acute management of critically ill and injured patients.

Nurses and EMS professionals play a vital role in emergency and trauma care, from pre-hospital response to in-hospital stabilisation and ongoing critical support. This course addresses the complex clinical demands of emergency environments, including rapid patient assessment, prioritisation, life-saving interventions, teamwork under pressure, and adherence to international emergency care protocols.

Delivered over 28 intensive days, the programme focuses on evidence-based emergency care, trauma management, advanced life support, and mass casualty response. Emphasis is placed on clinical decision-making, communication within multidisciplinary teams, and the safe transfer of critically ill patients across care settings.

The course combines classroom-based instruction, hands-on practical skills stations, and high-fidelity simulation, enabling participants to apply theoretical knowledge to realistic emergency scenarios encountered in both pre-hospital and hospital environments.
